Command Master Chief (SEAL) Steve Rose Joins BLACKHAWK! Special Operations Division
(October 2009) BLACKHAWK! Products Group™, the world leader in tactical gear for the military, law enforcement, industrial security and the outdoor markets announces the hiring of Command Master Chief Steve Rose to the position of Mid Atlantic Region, Special Operations Business Development (SOBD) Manager. The SOBD operating group’s primary role is to service and support BLACKHAWK! to all U.S. Military and Law Enforcement units. Master Chief Rose will also be responsible for all Military and Law Enforcement retail operation in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Master Chief Rose enlisted in the Navy in June 1984. He began his Naval Special Warfare career at Basic Underwater Demolitions/SEAL (BUD/S) training and graduated with Class 135. In January 1986 he was assigned to SEAL Team FOUR, NAB Little Creek where his command was regionally focused on .
Master Chief Rose transferred to Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG), FCTCL Dam Neck VA, in August 1989. During his eighteen-year assignment at NSWDG, Master Chief Rose served in , and The Former Yugoslavia. He participated in Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
Master Chief Rose served as the Command Master Chief of Naval Special Warfare Unit TWO (NSWU-2), from August 2004 to October 2006. He returned to NSWDG in August 2006 to serve as the Staff Senior Advisor. In September 2007, CMDCM Rose was selected as the Command Master Chief of NSWDG, where he served until September 2009.
His personal awards include Silver Star, three Bronze Stars (“V” device), two Defense Meritorious Service Medals, two Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Presidential Unit Citation and various unit and campaign awards.
